Recruitment Drive

Thank you so much to the Jurien Bay locals who called in to visit us on Saturday, 11 May 2024 during our Recruitment Drive. We hope you found it informative - and that you enjoyed taking a 'spin' around the Bay on our awesome Rescue 1 Vessel “Ocean Watch”!

Thank you also to our fantastic volunteer boat crew and radio operators who gave up their time to show everyone around our facilities and boats.  You are the best!

Our boat crew did some training from 8 - 10am (including practicing rafting techniques) before refuelling both vessels and bringing them over to our jetty so people could look them over, as well as chatting with our Bosun, Mike, and the rest of the crew. Thanks also to our on-duty radio operators - Suzanne (0700-1100) and Sharon F (1100-1600) - hope we weren't too noisy!!

We look forward to welcoming some new volunteers in the coming weeks and months - and even if you couldn't make it on Saturday, please feel free to call in at our tower anytime during our open hours to find out more about what we do and possibly pick up an application form.  The more volunteers we have, the merrier!
