IMRF 2022 Awards - Runners-Up

Our Group has been announced as runners up in the International Maritime Rescue Federation (IMRF) 2022 Awards. These prestigious awards recognise volunteer and professional search and rescue (SAR) personnel from around the world. Commander Chrissy Heu and Senior Rescue Skipper Mike Cockburn were honoured for their incredible rescue of three men whose yacht had capsized in treacherous conditions back in May this year. The pair were runners up in the ‘Team: For Outstanding Team Contribution to Maritime SAR Operations’ category, coming second to the SOS Mediterranée R/S Ocean Viking SAR Team who saved 247 people in 48 hours from the Mediterranean Sea in February.
