Farewell Wayne Harston

On Monday, 20 January 2025, Wayne Harston, who has been with our Group for 15 years, was awarded his VMRS 15 years Long Service clasp and the National Medal, presented by Simon Miller, DFES District Officer Marine-Midwest Gascoyne. 

The National Medal recognises long and diligent service, by members of recognised Government and voluntary organisations, who risk their lives or safety to protect or assist the community in enforcement of the law or in times of emergency or natural disaster. It was noted in Simon’s presentation that Wayne had attended 150 incidents on the water and was a great inspiration and support to our Group.   Congratulations Wayne and we all wish you and Tammy the best in your retirement from our Group. You will be sadly missed.
